Birthday Weekend!

On Saturday it was my birthday - I got some DVDs from DH and DS1 and I had already had some crafty stuff in advance from DH. I had a lovely relaxing day playing around in my craft room, trying out distress inks (still can't get the hang of them!) and making a couple of cards. One is for Krafty Karen's birthday, so you can't see it yet - and all I can say, Karen, is mwah hah hah *evil cackle* :-)

The other one is pictured above and is a 40th card for a friend of ours. The dress is an image from some free magazine papers, the cardstock is embossed with daisies and the swirls are a Marianne D die. Using old blanks: the pastel pack and the metallic silver pack.

  2. Hee hee... I did think that was Karen's card until I read the post... but you wouldn't do that, same as I wouldn't. (The one I made for Karen is due to be blogged after her birthday.)

Love the bling and the textures, and the fact that you're getting through the card blanks you don't like so much. I myself have found some that I have been avoiding like the plague and I really must get something done with them!
