Hell or High Water

This is more of a re-visit than a finish-off :-) I did this page several months ago but had never been happy with it - the handwritten "from this .... to this" looked a mess and I had matched the title colour so well to the paper than it could hardly be seen. It sat in my 2009 album for all those months and I got irritated every time I looked at it, because it wasn't "right" LOL. I don't usually go back to pages, because I hardly have time to do new ones, but during my marathon Bank Holiday session inspiration suddenly struck.

I printed the words out onto safmat, stuck them to some of the green cardstock and covered up the messy writing. Then I took a brown pen and outlined all the letters. And then - well no actually, that was it. Only took me many months to think of it ........

Now I am happy with it :-)

Banksy

We had visitors from Romania in 2009 and the first excursion they did (straight from the sirport!) was to the Banksy exhibition in Bristol.

I started this LO at last month's crop, it just needed the journalling to finish it off. The title is done freehand, with dry-brushed white acrylic paint which I also used to daub messy bits all over the pages - the first time I have ever used paint on a layout! Pennants are cut on the robo and the papers are so old I have no idea what they are - I think the main background was bought when I started scrapping back in 2004 :-) The whole layout is based around a Pagemaps sketch.

Cats have more sense

Over the Bank Holiday I had a marathon session of finishing off pages - the ones which I had, for one reason or another, not done the title or the journalling, or whatever ...... I completed 12 pages in total!

This one is nice and simple. DS1 and 2 messing around with a cardboard box and trying to persuade the cat to get on the box as well, with no success! It sat in my album for some months with just the patterned paper, the stamping and the photos done - mainly because I couldn't think of a title. The journalling is printed onto safmat and then die cut with a labels 4 nestie, the border stamp is from Paper Trunk, the title is robo cut.

Scrapology April Challenge

I haven't entered the Scrapology monthly challenge before, but I liked the sketch so thought I would have a go. The papers are SEI Moravia and the buttons are all from stash - though I did buy the scissors charm especially LOL. The button chain is made using an EK Success border strip punch and the journalling is done on Safmat, stuck to copper cardstock. I cut the bunting on the robo and found some co-ordinating gems to go along the top. Oh and the title is done on the robo too, twice in fact, because the first colour I used matched the paper so well it just didn't stand out, so I had to cut a darker one :-)

Ally Pally stash

Off we went to Ally Pally in a minibus kindly organised by Scrappy Sarah. We had chosen to go on the Sunday as it is so much quieter than the Saturday. I have no idea how much I spent, somewhere between £350 and £400 I think :-) Dies, masks, punches, stamps, pearls and some other bits all fell into my bag!

There didn't seem to be many "new" things though - I specifically wanted some of the new Nesties but could only find one. Of course they may have sold out of everything the day before LOL.

A good time had by all :-)
